Sex, of course, takes many forms and means very different things to different people. To Tallulah and to her circle of friends and lovers, sex was importantly an expression of our spiritual nature, of the essential core of who we are as human beings, or what it means to be fully alive.
Entering Tallulah’s three storey home on a steep hill in San Francisco’s Glen Park District was a bit like stepping into an alternative reality. Beautiful artwork, spiritual objects from a dozen different traditions, incense, meditative music, fabrics hanging from the ceiling in every room, a dozen beautiful people in flowing colorful garments coming and going, a beautiful well-tended garden, a hot tub, the smell of fragrant foods on the stove.
